Governors Island sits in New York Harbor near Manhattan and Brooklyn, offering excellent views across the harbor. It is a wonderful place to spend some time away from the typical noise of the city. The island is only accessible by ferry from either Manhattan or Brooklyn.

The Circle Line offers a unique perspective on the island of Manhattan and the other four boroughs that make up New York City. The cruise makes a two and half hour circle around the island with good views of not only Manhattan, but also the waterfronts of Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx. The boat passes under 20 bridges as it makes it’s way around the island.

The Hudson River seperates the west side of Manhattan from New Jersey. The Hudson River Greenway stretches from the George Washington Bridge to Battery Park. A portion of the greenway runs through what was once a railroad yard for the New York Central Railroad. The 69th Street Transfer Bridge is being restored.
