Robert has over 20 years of experience as an Information Technology Manager, working for educational institutions and retail distribution centers. In each of these positions, Robert has implemented projects that have saved money, improved operational systems, or improved service offerings. He most recently worked at the Big Lots distribution center in Tremont, PA.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Journalism from Susquehanna University and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University. While in college, he was a reporter, News Editor, and Editor-in-Chief for the college newspaper, The Crusader. He also worked as a reporter covering local news for the Selinsgrove Times-Tribune, a local weekly newspaper at the time.

After being laid off from Big Lots in January 2025, Robert traveled the country in a converted black Sprinter Cargo van with his girlfriend, Susan. While traveling, he launched this blog to pursue his lifelong ambition in journalism. He and Susan recently moved to New York City, Roosevelt Island, to continue to pursue his career in Information Technology along with writing.
